Monthly Review: Looking back on May '19

Welcome back!

Hi, folks! Lucas here.

April was great to us, but May has been even greater! I'm excited to bring to you some fantastic developments over the past month; this one's a real doozy!

Our Marketing Campaign is in Full Effect!

The greatest challenge of this whole project has been getting the word out. When you're a small team with a budget solely fixed on putting out a high quality product, marketing isn't easy, but I'm proud to say that we've been having some great traction!

Photography

Just as we said we would, we've spent quite a lot of time photographing our prototypes and spreading the word all over social media. While we are far from done, we've been able to put out quite a lot and we have more to come your way.

Be sure to check out our facebook and instagram pages to see the magic! We've got some great bracelet and silicone shots for you in various dial colors, as well as some unique aftermarket strap combinations from our friends at Toxic Natos, The Watch Steward, and Hirsch.

Interviews

That's right! I had the pleasure of being interviewed by my good friends, Ty Brown and Ivan Ennis! Be sure to check out their videos to learn more about them and, of course, about our watches!

Forums

Without a doubt, the most valuable resource we have is you. Yes, YOU!

This project cannot succeed without the feedback of folks such as yourselves. That's why we've chosen to sponsor our friends at WatchUSeek to give back to the community and request feedback.

Want to be a part of the discussion and help steer the direction of Mirus? Join the conversation in WatchUSeek and on the various facebook forums including:

New Partnerships

In addition to WatchUSeek, we've also chosen to partner with Soma Horology Marketplace!

SOMA is a unique platform that allows buyers and sellers to connect in ways never done before in the watch marketplace. Upon our successful crowdfund, we intend to offer new and exciting deals, products, and more through SOMA, so stay tuned!

Crowdfunding Targets!

That's right, folks! As so many of you have asked, I'm finally able to share our targets for crowdfunding!

We'll be targeting a price point of $649USD for our Kickstarter launch this October. Regular retail will be $999USD, so be sure to act when we go live this fall. Prices will never be this low again!

For more information on what Kickstarter is, please click here.

*Please note: These are only targets and are subject to change, but we will do our very best to keep dates/prices at or below this level.

Project Status & Next Steps:

Our marketing phase will continue through Spring, Summer, and into the Fall. During this time, spreading the word will be our top priority while we continue to gather feedback from our most valuable contributors: the watch enthusiast community!

Want to help?

For those that are interested in helping us drive this to a success, we'd love to hear from you! Reach out to us via our e-mail in the footer below and tell us a little about yourself!

1. What's your name?
2. Where are you from?
3. How did you find Mirus?
4. What do you like most about our watches?
5. What other watches do you like? How about ones you own?
6. What kind of Kickstarter stretch goals would you like to see? (Think small items, like nato straps, microfiber cloths, etc..)
The biggest, greatest help you can offer is helping us to get the word out. Please feel free to share/repost our facebook and instagram content with your friends, family, co-workers, etc.. And of course, remind folks that if they sign up to our newsletter, they can win a free watch!

More to come...

With so much going on, it's hard to imagine that there's even more in the works, but we're determined to keep moving forward! Stay tuned for more exciting updates, including:

  • More Interviews
  • Independent Blog/Vlog Reviews
  • Upcoming Watch Tradeshows
  • More Photography (including our leather straps!)
  • A New FAQ Page
  • A Revitalized Website
  • And... A PODCAST!

WHEW! That was a lot... OK, time to wrap things up.

As always, thank you all for your time and your support. It's what keeps us going!
